Job Description
Responsibility for oversight and operational management of in-country projects on behalf of HiiROC together with our various partnersTake the lead in setting up our priority pilot feasibility programme and ensuring it is on stream ahead of COP28Oversee our first UAE pilot jointly with an agreed collaboration partnerOversee the setup of our UAE office and day to day responsibilities of the team Suitably qualified in an Engineering discipline within a minimum of 10 years relevant process or energy industry experienceExperience leading technical teams across a number of functions and specialties, including Operations, Chemical, Mechanical and EC&I disciplines.Proven track record in the Middle East or MENA region [minimum 3 years experience]Recruiting and then managing a small team of staff, performance managing, motivating and developing them as required.Work with local providers and partners to establish HiiROC in regionProactive planning and managing of day-to-day schedulesOverseeing all aspects of implementation and set upDemonstrated people management skills, with ability to lead and influence technical and non-technical staff at all levels, inside and outside of the organizationHigh level of technical fluency and ability to communicate effectivelySignificant experience of successfully leading engineering projects and activities in a fast-paced organisation, to tight timescales and budgetsPrevious experience of working in early stage or start-up-like environments (desirable)
